Unsubscribing a Member/Prospect

Sometimes a member or prospect may request that you remove them from any marketing materials. The below guide will show you how to do this.

When a prospect or member requests to be removed from any marketing materials such as email marketing and/or SMS you can provide assistance using the following -

  1. You can advise the contact that they are able to unsubscribe from our marketing materials by going to the bottom of the latest marketing email and clicking 'unsubscribe'. This will then mark their contact profile within Hubspot as unsubscribed and remove from any future marketing.
  2. You can provide assistance and do this from within Hubspot by going to the contact's profile and clicking on VIEW SUBSCRIPTIONS - left of the screen within the Communication Subscriptions panel. You can then UNSUBSCRIBE them from Marketing Information.
  3. Alternatively, if this request comes from a prospect who would like to be removed from not only our marketing but also any future comms (such as a prospect phone call) you will need to update their LEAD STATUS to "Not Interested/Unsubscribe". They will then be removed from any future tasks (unless one has already been created, in which case you can just tick it as completed) and workflows.
