LINKS TROUBLSHOOTING GUIDE

How to reset Links Software when there is an issue.

 

1. Software Error or Not Responding:

Step 1: Relaunch the Software

    1. If Links is showing an error message, close the software.
    2. Relaunch Links to see if the issue resolves.

Step 2: Restart the Computer

    1. If relaunching doesn't solve the problem, shut down the computer completely.
    2. Restart the computer.
    3. After the computer has restarted, open Links again and check if it works.

 

2. Network or Connectivity Issues:

  1. Step 3: Check Router Connection
    1. If Links still isn't working, head to the communications room and locate the router.
    2. Unplug the router from its power source and wait for 30 seconds.
    3. After 30 seconds, plug the router back in.
    4. Wait for the router light to turn green, indicating that the connection is restored.

  2. Step 4: Reopen Links
    1. Once the router is online and the light is green, go back to your computer.
    2. Open Links again and check if it is functioning properly.

  3. Step 5: Perform a Full Router Reboot
    1. If Links still isn’t working, return to the communications room and locate the router.
    2. Unplug the router from its power source and wait for 10 minutes.
    3. After 10 minutes, plug the router back in.
    4. Wait for the router light to turn green, indicating that the connection is restored.
    5. Return to your computer and follow Step 4 to check if Links is functioning properly.

 

3. Final Step if Issue Persists: 

  1. Step 6: Contact Director of Operations
    1. If after performing the above steps Links still does not work, contact the Director of Operation for further assistance.
